TEAM TWIST  ENDS SUMMER SEASON AT CHAMP CAMP

August 1, 2005

This past weekend, facing the best competition of the Summer Schedule, Twist Black battled 64 of the Top Teams in the country for the coveted  Champ Camp "National Championship" title.  With wins over Baltimore Prep, USTC Falcons, Advantage Metro, Patriots Silver and Dixie, Twist won its' Division outright and advanced to the Sweet - 16  Play-Off Round.
The 1st round Play-Off birth found Twist Black facing the Baltimore Elite (Perlow) Team, in front of an enthusiastic crowd of parents and a very well represented group of  Top Div I & III NCAA College Coaches.   Unfortunately, Twist never found the rhythm, and played one of the most uninspired games of the season on both sides of the field.  The Baltimore Elite Team executed an absolutely flawless game. It was highlighted with some very, very impressive ball movement, spot on feeds, and excellent "bury the ball" shooting to secure the win.
Twist ended its run in Baltimore with a Saturday evening win over the NJ Mountain Lakes Team and a hard fought early Sunday mourning loss to the Excellent "Fighting Clams" Top-Gun  All-Star Lacrosse Team, finishing the tournament with a very respectable 6-2-0 record for 11th place over-all.

Twist Black ends the Summer Tournament Season with an impressive combined
Tournament record of  27 - 4 - 0.

TWIST WINS EVOLUTION CUP CHAMPIONSHIP

Congratulations go out to the Twist Black team for winning the 2005 Evolution Games this weekend at West Chester University. Twist advanced to the Championship game by defeating Malvern Prep 8-5 in hard fought battle on the turf. The Championship Game found Twist Black facing the LaSalle Rebel team in the 2pm showdown. Great defense along with super results on face offs and a systematic offense proved to be enough to get by the very talented LaSalle Rebels. Twist Black won the Championship game with a 10-5 controlled team effort.
Matt McMahon was named MVP for his consistent play between the pipes.

TWIST PLAYERS SELECTED TO
